Pentathletes' sporting plans for 2016
The 2015 competition season ended with the Championship of the Republic of Moldova, held at the end of October.
After a two-week break, our federation's athletes have begun preparing for the 2016 season.
For the coming season, the federation's leadership decided to place greater emphasis on the combined event (running and shooting). To this end, Honoured Athletics Coach Anatolie Popușoi was brought into the training process and, together with national team coach Alexei Vasilianov, has done extensive work to improve our athletes' running technique and tactics, as well as their speed and speed-strength abilities.

From mid-January to the end of February, the pentathletes took part in five athletics competitions of various levels.
Preparations are currently under way for the U18 European Cup, which will take place in Barcelona from 14 to 17 April.
Selection and warm-up competitions ahead of the European Cup are planned, including the Bulgarian Open Championship in Sofia on 26-27 March.
Based on the results of these competitions, the coaching staff will be able to fine-tune the athletes' training plan for a successful performance at competitions in the second half of the year.
