68th UIPM Congress in Frankfurt am Main (Germany)

A delegation of the Modern Pentathlon Federation of Moldova, consisting of President Alexei Mihailovich Chieasco and head coach Alexei Leonidovich Vasilianov, took part in the 68th UIPM Congress, held in Frankfurt am Main (Germany).

The Congress reviewed the results of the four-year Olympic cycle, discussed the development of modern pentathlon as an Olympic discipline, and held elections for the UIPM leadership for the next 4 years.

The opening ceremony of the Congress was attended by the President of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach.

The representatives of the Moldovan Modern Pentathlon Federation had the chance to speak with Thomas Bach and tell him about the development of modern pentathlon in the Republic of Moldova.
