2017 Championship of the Republic of Moldova comes to a close

From 17 to 19 November, Chișinău hosted the events of the 2017 National Championship. More than 50 athletes of all ages took part in the competition.

 

After a hard-fought contest, in the Seniors (Men) category first place went to Valentin Samsonov, second to Alex Vasilianov and third to Maxim Nartea; in the Seniors ( Woman ) category first place went to Daria Zaharova, second to Maria Mirca and third to Elena Botnari. In the Juniors category, first place went to Danila Suhoveev (Men) and Maria Chieasco ( Woman ). In the Youth A category, first place went to Ivan Rusin (Boys) and Maria Dogari (Girls).

 

The events were held at the Modern Pentathlon Federation's sports club, the indoor athletics arena and the Dinamo swimming pool. The 2017 Championship can truly be called a celebration of sport! The athletes' fighting spirit and the enthusiasm of the fans showed the great interest in modern pentathlon in Moldova!
